Politics / Partisanship / Parties: Our Lack of Knowledge…
Done with Kid-Gloves:
AS PARTISANSHIP IS THE CANCER OF CANDOR
Politics / Partisanship / Parties is selfishly becoming the demise of the United States of America… To broadly paraphrase the sentiments of President George Washington… The Partisanship that Politics manifests, are the hallmark of a failed political system. As President George Washington, clearly Admonished his subsequent followers of our new “Democratic-Republic”, during his two 4-year terms; as well as his retirement comments, paraphrasing again: That warned of the cunning corruption of a unified nation, given over to factions (Partisans/Parties) that would not unite, but divide and segregate this new born nation.
So I would like to Note: UNITED WE STAND and DIVIDED WE FALL…
I as one person, have witnessed this travesty, in my review of history, and our current segregation of unity that George Washington fought for, given over to an implicit lack of pragmatism, and thoughtful discourse to meld as One Nation, under Goodness, not as what he admonished against: Called the “Spirit of Parties”, that would Divide, not Unite our “Common and Graceful Common Sense of Actions.”
When I witness Politicians today, I only see self-serving, party based, and voter-based selfish rhetoric, for the “Spirit of their Party”, not for the Goodness of this Country, and more broadly for the World…!
I am disgusted with these self-serving politicians, and am looking for candor and academic thinking, not party politics, hence: selfish self-serving partisan feelings to govern this nation.
I have never joined a political party, since I could vote at 18 years of age and as a half-century later – maintained my values.
Our country needs to review our history of the Founders and their precepts that literally founded this Greatest of Countries, for which President George Washington, time and time again admonished against the partisan factions that were being created in his own Cabinet and the first Continental Congress’s – to be abolished.
I have come to see this Great country of “FREEDOM”, succumb to the group-think of partisan ignorance, thus forsaking its “United” intended virtues of true Integrity (Individualism)… It is Sad, make no mistake…
It is still the Greatest of Countries, but one of a growing ignorance based on our histories – lack of review and value of George Washington’s original distain of Partisanship, or as he Admonished us to avoid “The Spirit of Parties”.
And a Sad Day for me to write what I have historically observed – to be soundly true…
