We do not have the answers to the Big Questions in Life:
(Infinity, the Beginning, the End of Time, God, and so on…)
And Never Will
To be clear, I am an agnostic, as I find I must be to be honest with myself. I neither believe nor dis-believe in a so-called God or Gods. I simply cannot know, nor does it matter in the bigger picture of ethics and doing right by others.
And by-the-way our Universe (From the Big Bang), is a mere drop in the bucket, in fact it’s the actual size of a proton, in the bigger scheme of space. That is what is so fundamentally fickle, when we try to answer, questions, such as these, and if there is a God, but if so, how did that evolve? In point of fact, for me, Infinity is Timeless, and Spaceless, as it always has been, which defy’s our sense of logic.
But when you think about it. If it was not there before, something had to be in its place… So knowledge of such things, is as I said, is purely a concept of only faith, not fact. And that is fact. Archeologists believe that Early humankind, about 35,000 years ago, began to bond through Shamans, and their (spiritual type rituals). They found a community in such belief’s. Then came a few cultures that believed in similar virgin births, until our final one about 2,000 years ago with the birth of Jesus. And after about 400 years after his death, the formation of the Catholic Church deified him, by a vote of catholic monks, that was a contentious vote to again, gain better control over society. Or so that is how I see it. Many Christians sects, did not believe in his deity. The Gnostics for one, which simply believed that living a good life, as Jesus did, built the only true foundation for goodness and so-called being saved.
This is the model of Jesus, I follow as a role-model, along with Albert Schweitzer, Gandhi, Dr. Martin Luther King. Individuals committed to high standards and goodness, not an eye for and eye…
And I would note that even Mohammed who was the founder of Islam, believed in and followed Jesus. Few people really know this fact. But then came science with new truths, that violated the written invented-truths of mankind, such as: only being here for about 5 or 6 thousand years on Earth, as god created man and all things. And the Judeo-Christian bibles absolute truths, had to give way to science. As concubines, slaves, and killing infidels, was aberrant to modern mans sense of humanity, but of course, the other manmade rhetoric of the bible, such as homosexual conduct, and so on, remains selectively sacrosanct in sections of Leviticus and Deuteronomy in the bible. The early bible set the stage for what became a horrible holocaust that early religious wars, the burning of thousands of witches, and similar tragedies were fought over. Competing texts, that all allowed for killing infidels.
Well Science has prevailed in most of the modern world today. But past ravages from again, selective biblical and Quran based rhetoric, is still practiced today, and even seems to be returning to new stature.
I will repeat my consistent theme, throughout my Blogs: The Golden Rule, and Doing No Harm, should be the world of Nations common standard. Therefore any culture, religion or belief system that violates this fundamental law, needs to be altered or abolished.
Just Think About it: God or Allah, wants infidels killed, but also believes in universal Love? The hypocrisy and lack of intellect is stunning, to say the least, in the vast grey matter of the human race.
I believe, Mark Twain said it best: “If there were another race besides the human race. I would join it…
My point of this Blog is simple: Live for goodness, not cruelty, and you will follow your God, or Goodness in the truest of manners.
And that is what actually matters [ End of Story]. As, any other proposition is of evil and will simply cause humanity to needlessly suffer.
What is your Choice…?
